About Me
I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Loyola College in Maryland in 2007 and my master’s degree in mental health counseling from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in 2011. Since 2013, I've been licensed to practice therapy independently in Massachusetts. My passion for mental health has spanned 15 years, enriching my experience across a spectrum of settings such as inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient clinics, and with a variety of client populations.
Finding joy in aiding individuals to gain self-understanding and empowerment regardless of their life circumstances is at the heart of my practice. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, anchored in the belief that each person is their own best expert, while I bring in specialized skills from my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy.
I am a strong proponent of the mind-body connection, understanding that to achieve optimal physical health, we must first focus on mental health wellness.
Outside of work, I relish time spent outdoors with my dog, and quality moments with my family and friends. I'm committed to advocating for racial justice and take pride in being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. My interests include traveling, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and keeping informed about global affairs.
